2007/2008 1st Half-Year Sales: € 177 million
Sales Order Backlog: € 542 million
Rodriguez Group approved the financial statements for the 1st half-year of its 2007/2008 fiscal year, ended March 31, 2008.
The Group realized sales of € 177.0 million at March 31, 2008, a decline of 11.9% compared to the previous fiscal year.
Sales may be analyzed as follows:
-New Yacht sales amounted to € 136.6 million, in line with the previous fiscal year (€ 138.5 million; down 1.8%).
The Group confirms its 2007/2008 full-year new yacht sales objective of € 320 million.
-Pre-Owned Yacht sales totaled € 19.1 million, compared to € 43.5 million in 2006/2007 (down 56.1%).
Within a context marked by some customers adopting a wait-and-see policy, the Group has had to initiate marketing efforts to finalize pre-owned yacht sales.
This does not call into question the 2007/2008 fiscal year pre-owned yacht inventory reduction objective.
-The Yacht Services and Merchandise business remained very well oriented with sales of € 21.9 million (compared to € 18.9 million in 2006/2007; up 15.7%), in spite of the unfavorable impact of the US Dollar loss in value on the translation into Euros of Camper & Nicholsons Intl. sales.
On a constant foreign exchange basis, Yacht Services and Merchandise sales were € 24.2 million, a 28.1% increase compared to the previous fiscal year.
CUMULATIVE SALES ORDER BACKLOG (current and subsequent years)
The sales order backlog at May 12, 2008 totaled € 542 million, up 8% from the previous fiscal year.
The Group is confident in the successful rollout and beneficial impacts of the New Strategy over the coming months.
