The brokerage business focuses on the provision of advice and intermediary services regarding the purchase and sale of yachts. Rodriguez Group is the world leader in this highly technical business in full development, following its acquisition of Camper & Nicholsons Intl. (CNI).
A changing yachting industry and the development of new markets, both in terms of geographic and product type, lead Rodriguez Group to new horizons, to ever increasing specialization and to a balancing of its strengths between Europe and the New World.

Strong brands
The Group owns credible and recognized brand names that strongly contribute to its attraction amongst a very demanding clientele. The Group particularly  benefits from the reputation of CNI, which owns some of the most recognized brand names in the world of yachting. With this in mind, CNI has thus undertaken to strengthen its visibility in the world of luxury by significantly contributing to a series of workshops, forums, training programs and other conferences  both as a participant and as a speaker.

Comprehensive advice
The Group offers a comprehensive advice service, including:
• needs analysis and identification of matching yacht type (power/motor, sail), general design (Open, Cabin Cruiser) and features (speed, interior space);
• search for, and location of the identified yacht;
• inspection and assessment of yacht value and condition;
• assistance in negotiation and finalization of transaction.

A global market in full growth
The sale and charter of yachts on the American market are performing well and remain CNI’s potential area of expansion. Last year confirmed this trend, as operations showed a net increase, although slower than on the Old Continent. CNI took this time to strengthen its presence and its teams, whether in sales,  yacht or charter management and through the recruitment of new brokers. Efforts undertaken to increase the Group’s structure and visibility in this highly  competitive market are starting to bear fruit, in particular in the North East region via the New York office.

CNI European operations experienced unprecedented expansion, in particular in the construction of new yachts, where records have been broken again. The same applied to the traditional brokerage business, which benefit from the fact that shipyards are working at maximum capacity, and it is becoming difficult to  launch new projects without having to wait. Therefore, future “new owners” tend to acquire pre-owned yachts recently put up for sale. Thus, the new  construction business today represents, in terms of sales, a part equivalent to that of the brokerage of pre-owned yachts, for ever bigger yachts.
