MAINTENANCE SHIPYARD

The Group operates three maintenance shipyards today, at Golfe-Juan (France), Hammamet (Tunisia) and Savona (Italy). A key element of the comprehensive service offer, yacht maintenance is an activity that develops client loyalty and leads to yacht sales. By servicing both Rodriguez Group and other brand vessels, the maintenance shipyard creates and maintains privileged relationships with new clients, potential buyers of the Group’s yachts. Yacht maintenance (mechanics, painting, leather work and electronics) is an activity that is enjoying very strong growth, notably in the Mediterranean region, where
demand exceeds the offer for mega-yachts. With its three shipyards, the Group can quickly meet the maintenance, repair and refit demand with confidence.

The Group shipyards provide a comprehensive mechanics, electrical and electronic service. All are equipped with 100 to 200 ton cranes and travel-lifts and can take yachts of up to 40 meters out of the water. They are open 6 days a week in season and can be contacted 24/7 in case of emergency. Each shipyard has developed a specific area of expertise in addition to traditional services:

• the Golfe-Juan shipyard has a seven people strong leather workshop, which carries out the yachts’ interior and exterior decoration (net curtains, cushions, sofas, canvas covers, soft tops…) ;

• the Hammamet shipyard has a storage and hull area, allowing the Group to offer a wintering service afloat or ashore ;

• the Group has heavily invested in the new W. Service site. Still located within the high security Savona harbor, the new shipyard location notably includes new dockyards with a capacity of eleven 50-meter yachts and a new, ultra-modern painting workshop. Future plans to extend the available space are under consideration. The painting operation is a strategic development to meet ever-increasing demand for yacht customization, be they new or pre-owned. Significant investments have thus been committed to create a facility that guarantees the highest quality standards in an adapted environment, and optimum yacht painting efficiency. A performing internal quality control system has been implemented at each phase of the painting process.

Synergies generated by the three shipyards in the Mediterranean enable the Group to best fulfill clients’ needs, depending on the type of work required, the owner’s location, and the availability of each shipyard. Therefore, the Group has been able to improve responsiveness, quality and personalization of the maintenance of each yacht it was entrusted with.
